About the Author
Mike Grindstaff is a pseudo-retired pharmacist from East Tennessee. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Mercer Southern School of Pharmacy in 1989. He practiced independent, as well as specialty pharmacy, in the Atlanta area for almost 30 years before moving back to the hills of Tennessee. Mike resides in Unicoi, Tennessee with the love of his life, Dana, and many pets. When not golfing, cooking, watching sports, or playing with the grandkids, he writes fiction. Moon over Knoxville will grab your attention right away with a suicide and you will start to care about the characters in the story surrounding this tragic event. The author invites you into the characters lives and the relationships that they have with their friends, family and significant others. The main character, Marwin, is a commited pharmicist who cares about what he does but you learn very quickly that there isn't anything that he won't do for the people that he cares about. The suicide by his partner's wife just doesn't seem right and so the mystery ensues. You will need to block out time because you will want to finish the book in one sitting to find out what happens. This is a good read and I highly recommend it.
Well written and developed, Moon Over Knoxville is an intriguing and captivating read. The characters are well-developed and realistic, with feelings and concerns that a reader can believe and understand. The plot development is such that the reader is drawn in and at the end, it looks predictable, but then it's not. A fun read, the author even manages to teach us some chemistry.
This is a must read!! The aurthor really gets your attention from the get go!! A book that is worth reading over again!
Before you read this wonderfully written book I would highly recommend clearing your schedule. Once you read even the first paragraph you will not put it down until you find out the ending. From start to finish you are surrounded in brilliant characters, vivid and I mean VIVID imagery, and a plot that will keep you on your toes. You can immediately tell how much passion and time was put into making this story and I have my fingers crossed there will be more. I would recommend Moon Over Knoxville to anyone that has eyes and knows how to read, because anyone can enjoy this book.
Mike Grindstaff is talented writer who draws the reader in with the first paragraph! The ending has a plot twist that I didn't see coming! Can't believe this Mike's first book... He seems like a seasoned author! Hopefully, he's started writing the next book! I highly recommend buying Moon Over Knoxville! Block a few hours off your schedule, because you won't be able to put the book down!
The author engages you from the beginning of the book and continues to draw you into the story as more details are reveled as Marwin looks into to the death of his friend’s wife. Marwin questions the findings of the police and uses his pharmaceutical knowledge to find new leads. The author continues to develop the characters throughout the book and brings you into their daily life trying to understand why this happened. Great read - looking forward to the next book in this series
I bought this book at a local book signing. What a great read and surprising plot. The only downside is book two isn’t out yet!
My husband and I we’re at a book signing by the author last night in Tennessee. I started reading on our way home to Georgia today, can not put it down. Drew me in immediately!!! Fantastic first book, Mike !
