Cory Graff is the Military Aviation Historian at the Flying Heritage Collection museum in Everett, Washington. In his free time, he works on aviation-related history projects, including exhibits and books. His articles have been published in Air & Space Smithsonian magazineand the Museum of Flight's Aloft magazine. Graff is the author of five previous aviation books, including Shot to Hell: The Stories and Photos of Ravaged WWII Warbirds, Strike and Return: American Air Power and the Fight for Iwo Jima, and P-47 Thunderbolt at War. He lives in Seattle, Washington.

"Flying Warbirds" is as extremely beautifully compiled and composed tribute to historic air worthy combatants of WW II preserved by the Flying Heritage Collection of Everett, WA. The type specific information on each plane is fully researched and professionally presented. The air-frame unique information personalizes and enhances the presentation. Airborne and under the hood photography could not be better done. It is magnificent. "Flying Warbirds" by Cory Graff is a new treasured favorite in my collection.
One of the best books on the subject. Absolutely stunning photography, and wonderful explanations of each aircraft in this collection. The time and money spent on location, restoration, operation, and preservation must be stunning, but in the air is exactly where each museum piece was designed to be. Any serious student of aviation history simply must have this tome in their collection.
This was one of my oldest son's Christmas presents and being the son of a retired AF pilot and advid WWII planes, this hit the spot. Daid it is one of the best books he has seen with wonderful photography and articles.
Great book for anyone who likes WW2 planes. Beautiful pictures of the planes at the Flying Heritage Collection in Everett. Very good writing about each plane..our son is the author of this and other books. Well worth the price and everyone who comes to visit,looks through the book.
